You are aware that women are still oppressed in many parts of the world??

I'm against oppression in any guise. So for me if it's male or female, young or old, black or white or whatever then I support the oppressed, and male or female is irrelevant. Where I support the 'hoods' while apart from them, is that it is easier to achieve from within a 'hood' than without.

Always remember that every 'hood' has a natural tendency to be itself repressive! That natural tendency to be itself repressive can be to a very strong personality, to a central majority, the 'them' and 'us' tendencies of all committees, and on and on. So all 'hoods' have a fascist leaning. You can even see it here on Clipmarks where certain of the 'hood' believe that their particular view has a value in excess of any other single person's view. That is fascism! Fascism in the 'hood' ?!?

And 'hood' here is interchangeable with gang. And as I've written there the gang leader can be the Pope! If any one had expected him to say different than his recent proclamation, then they have no understanding of the 'hood' or gang membership.

Its not irrelevant if you are a member of the oppressed group. How can any one member of an oppressed group triumph over oppression without forming an alliance with other members of that class and acknowledging similar experiences and goals?

Well, I don't think anybody should put their brain on shelf when they decide to form a political alliance. The process for all thinking people by necessity would involve identifying common goals, experiences and values. If you remain true to yourself and your ideals you will not surrender yourself to fascism which is a fear based phenomena.
